Each day/week/month a certified engineer will administer the backup software to verify that the backups have been consistently successful. Additionally data integrity will be further tested by ensuring it is recoverable through a random restore. Inventory of the current and future tapes will be conducted by removing the appropriate backup tapes for the day/week/month, reinserting sufficient media, re-indexing the new tapes, evaluating the media usage, and transporting used tapes securely for off-site storage. Backup rotation is available daily/weekly/monthly.
