Mission
IND's Dust to Diamonds program supports local charities and non-profit organizations by providing free technology equipment that has been donated by corporate customers. IND acts as the facilitator of the connection, and also offers data scrubbing services to the donating company.

Following best practice standards, corporations typically replace technology equipment within three years of purchase to ensure the highest level of performance, warranty coverage and to remain competitive. Unfortunately in most cases, the equipment that is replaced is destroyed or thrown away, often at a “disposal cost” to the corporation. The substantial hidden value in that used equipment is then lost and ends up filling up a landfill. Consequently, millions of technology products are thrown away every year while thousands of non-profit organizations struggle along with aging equipment or do without computers entirely.

Our mission is to recapture the value of used technology equipment so that significant savings and benefits are realized by non-profit organizations, while at the same time giving back to the community and decreasing the amount of usable technology equipment that needlessly goes to landfills.

How does it work?
IND reviews potential donations from donor organizations for placement at participating nonprofit organizations. IND also provides free pickup and delivery of equipment located in Northern New Jersey.

All technology equipment is considered for placement, including PCs, servers, firewalls, peripherals, infrastructure hardware and more. Please note, software does not qualify for donation as software companies do not permit donation of their products.

How do we get started?
As a donor:
1) Contact IND to sign up as a Diamond Donator
2) Contact IND with equipment information and schedule a pickup or send in equipment.
3) If you need assistance removing information, IND will sanitize all equipment to the Department of Defense standard 5220.22-M at a reduced hourly charge.
4) IND will deliver equipment to a non-profit organization in need.
5) Provide logo file & information to be included on our website as a Diamond Donator.
6) Non-profit organization will supply donor a receipt with estimated value for tax purposes (if applicable).

As a recipient:
1) Contact IND to signup for inclusion in the Dust to Diamonds Program.
2) Provide logo file & information to be listed on our website as one of our participating non-profits.
3) When equipment becomes available IND will contact you to schedule delivery.
4) Upon review of delivered items supply a receipt of donation with estimated value.
