The Record highlights IND's data security services
Parsippany, NJ (September 4, 2008) – The Record, the newspaper of Northern New Jersey, recently tapped IND for insight into computer network and data security. The news article, appearing in its September 2, 2008 edition, discusses the impact that security has on small and medium-sized businesses.
The article also highlighted the security measures that IND implemented for one of its long-time clients, NAPL, located in Paramus, NJ.
While the theft of personal data from credit card merchants and banks makes headlines, the threats that face all businesses may go unnoticed. The article notes "Such high-profile data breaches grab headlines, noted Eric Speidel, vice president of the IND Corp., which provided IT services to the Paramus-based trade association. “But what you don’t hear about is all of the small companies that have their IP (intellectual property) or other data stolen by either internal or external people,” he said. A recent analysts by credit-card company Visa Inc. found that 80 percent of data breaches involved small merchants."
