IND Nurtures Entrepreneurship through IFEL Sponsorship
Parsippany, NJ (May 5, 2009) – The Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership (IFEL) held its second annual business plan competition awards luncheon on Thursday, April 30, 2009.
IND provided support for the innovative program through the donation of IND's Strategic Performance Analysis to IFEL award recipients.
IFEL is an independent, not-for-profit organization that supports inner city economic development through entrepreneurship. The 2nd Annual Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership Business Plan Competition is one of several programs IFEL offers to help entrepreneurs take their business to the next level.
IND's Strategic Performance Analysis maximizes technology performance through a comprehensive review of how technology is currently being used to manage and run a business. The analysis provides a visual network diagram and specifications of all components, along with a security analysis and recommendations to remediate immediately evident areas of concern. The analysis also includes a review of business processes to identify opportunities to eliminate duplication of labor and integrate silos of information.
“Entrepreneurs need advice as they face increased competition for limited capital,” said Jill Johnson, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of IFEL. “Through group coaching and one-on-one consulting, IFEL provides its clients with access to business expertise and makes introductions to both traditional and non-traditional capital sources – all at a price affordable to the average small business owner."
IFEL helps ambitious entrepreneurs obtain and leverage the resources necessary to create sustainable and profitable business enterprises. In so doing, IFEL seeks to create jobs and wealth in the communities that it serves. IFEL conducts special outreach efforts aimed at businesses owned by women and minorities. The winner of the competition, Joelle Hinds-Ware, Managing Partner of Verify-ED, is awarded IND's strategic performance analysis by Tim Thew, VP of Sales and Partnerships at IND.
