IND Provides Best-Practices Procurement Insights for NJBiz Magazine
Parsippany, NJ (January 26, 2009) – IND CEO Douglas Rahn contributed his expertise to the January 19, 2009 NJBiz Magazine article “Weighing Wireless – Business owners face tough choice in considering whether laptop or desktop computers offer more value." Mr. Rahn provides valuable insight into best-practice procurement methodologies that company’s should use to maximize their investment in computer hardware while minimizing the cost of new purchases.
The article recommends that “Picking a laptop based on its price can trap the user with an underpowered machine, Rahn said. Deals offering laptops in the $300 to $400 range may not have the memory capacity or processing power needed to properly run some programs, [Mr. Rahn] said.
Rahn suggested purchasing a computer, either desktop or laptop, that is one rung down from the top of the line, in order to get the most value from the investment.”
